What is ADAS?
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems or ADAS are all the technologies in your modern German vehicle that to enhance its safety and driving ease.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems use the camera, radar, and lidar sensor inputs to monitor your vehicle’s distance from objects such as cars, pedestrians, and cyclists, as well as detecting road markings and signs.
The systems can then alert drivers when danger is imminent, and apply corrective or avoidance steering and braking assistance in an emergency.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems need to be calibrated when any of the highly sensitive ADAS or related vehicle components has changed, to ensure the system continues to function safely.
One of the main causes of incorrect ADAS operation is when the position of an ADAS camera or radar changes as a result of a frontal impact.
For instance, when an ADAS system is not calibrated for the pitch of the camera, it can miscalculate the distance to an object in front of the vehicle.
And when an ADAS system is not calibrated for the yaw of the camera, it can incorrectly predict the centre line of the vehicle.
When does an ADAS system need calibration?
